About her

Ibolya Vörösváry born in a Hungarian musical family. Her brother is Márton Vörösváry violinist and pianist. She started to take violin lessons at the age of four at the Gyula Erkel Music School in Budapest under the guidance of Éva Skripeczky. Between 2007 and 2012 she studied viola at the Béla Bartók Conservatorium in Budapest in the class of János Láposi. In 2012 she gained admission at the Franz Liszt Academy of Music in Budapest in the class of Péter Bársony. In 2015 Ms.Vörösváry gained her Bachelor Degree with the highest honour. At the present she is 'Master' student of Franz Liszt Academy of Music. 

 

Three times was participant of the Academy Musicale de Morges, where her professor was Ervin Shiffer. She work together with lot of artist in the mastercourses such as Rivka Golani, Nobuko Imai, Maxim Rysanov, Ervin Schiffer, Barnabás Kelemen, Guy-Ben Ziony.

 

Ms. Vörösváry was participant at the many national and international competition. The most significant awards:

- I. prize (Instrumental Competition, the Day of Hungarian Culture, Budapest, 2004, 2005),

- Award for Excellence (XI. National János Koncz Violin Competition, regional sorting stage, Budapest, 2006),

- III. prize (I. Dezső Rados Violin Competition, Budapest, 2006),

- Gold Award (Mozart Club Instrumental Competition, Budapest, 2008)

- II. prize (XXXVIII. International String Orchestra Course and Competition, Békés-Tarhos, 2014).

 

 

Ibolya Vörösváry today's talented artist of viola. She has performed in many concert places in Hungary and abroad (Oradea, Budapest, Wien, Pécs, Morges, Kosice, Bratislava, Prague, London, Paris). Her number of concerts exceeded eighty. During her career the TV media broadcasted of her performances.

 

She mostly focused in her performences on the little-known pieces for solo viola by classical and contemporary composers. In her repertoire included violin pieces and other musical instrument masterpieces in her own transcriptions.

 

At the present she is international soloist and chamber player. Ms. Vörösváry was three times of the winner of Lady Erzsébet Házy performing of arts prize. Her resident pianist partner Márton Vörösváry.

 

Many times she was the soloist of the orchestras. Her first performance with orchestra was at the age of 9. Recently she performed Viola Concerto by Carl Stamitz and Viola Concerto by Georg Philip Telemann with Gábor Werner conductor.
